International Women’s Day Panel: Ecology, Violence, and Employment

As part of International Women’s Day, the panel “Ecology, Violence, and Employment” will feature Asst. Prof. Dr. Selda Tunç Subaşi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Seyra Kestel, and Assoc. Prof. Diler Ezgi Tarhan. It will discuss gender inequalities, ecological crises, structural violence against women, and women’s labour market challenges. The panel aims to highlight multidimensional issues women face and is open to all interested participants.

Prof. Selda Tunç Subaşı, Director of the Center for Gender Studies Application and Research, will present her paper titled “The Ethical Legitimation of Violence: Female Police Officer and Affective Management in the TV Series On Call” at the 2nd Interdisciplinary Women’s Studies Symposium to be held at Haliç University on Friday, March 6, 2026.
