Following the screening, an online Q&A session with director Pınar Fontini took place at 12:00 p.m. Moderated by Dr. Bilge İpek, the event was attended not only by students from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, but also by students and academics from various other departments.
The session proceeded in a question-and-answer format. Participants raised questions regarding the production conditions of women directors in Turkish cinema, their struggles for visibility, and the structural challenges they face within the industry. Pınar Fontini shared insights into the making of the documentary, the archival research and testimonial-based investigation process, the importance of documenting the memory of women directors, and the challenges she encountered throughout the project.
Offering an opportunity to reconsider film history from a gender perspective, the event created a productive space for discussion that brought together both academic reflections and personal experiences. Participants had the chance to critically reassess the place of women directors in film history and to reflect on making invisible labor visible.
