Gender Studies Application and Research Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp's message for the 2019-2020 academic year
As Istanbul Gelisim University Gender Studies Application and Research Center, our projects, events, conferences and workshops organized to raise awareness on gender will continue this year. In order to increase this awareness, we expect all kinds of support from all our faculty members, members of non-governmental organizations and students.
Gender Studies Application and Research Center organizes studies in the fields of “gender”, “violence against women”, “types and effects of violence”, “women's place in working life”, “child psychology”, “adolescent psychology”, “educational psychology”, “mobbing”, “child development” and “parental roles”. Our mission as the Center is to conduct interdisciplinary research on sexism and gender equality and to raise awareness within and outside the university about sexist forms of action and discourse. In this direction, by conducting studies and practices on gender, we aim to ensure gender equality in every wing of society and to reduce sexist discourses.
As the Gender Studies Application and Research Center, we wish to be together in different projects in the 2019-2020 academic year.
