Our Students Support Women's Participation in Football
Students of the Public Relations and Publicity Department of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences of Istanbul Gelişim University supported the inclusion of women in football.
The event, which has been organized since 2013 by the Girls on the Field team within the scope of gender equality studies to include women in football, was also attended by Public Relations and Publicity students under the guidance of the Gender Studies Application and Research Center. In the event held on July 16, Public Relations and Publicity students Gizem KILIÇ and Gamze ATBAŞ, who are particularly interested in girls in order to break gender roles, made significant contributions to the implementation of the project. Saying, “It gave us great happiness to help children on the field,” KILIÇ and ATBAŞ noted that they wanted to be a part of this organization again next year.
Girls on the Field is a project that was started in 2013. It is estimated that the project, which focuses on gender roles, has introduced 2000 women to football so far.
